We have stayed here many times over the years and the room was great, very spacious and quiet. We arrived at 4pm and I have to say the lady in reception was not particularly welcoming, and did not explain about the dining options or breakfast, as happened the last times we have stayed. Also the breakfast on the following morning was adequate but disappointing, as there seemed to be a morning meeting going on at the same time, so we were left to ourselves, and the usual choices of food were very limited compared to normal. However we did have an excellent meal and very friendly service in the Vasco restaurant, which has a very convivial atmosphere.

This hotel is certainly original. It is located in an old chateau but some of the rooms are in an outhouse that was part of a distillery. This means you might have to walk a bit between the room and the reception and breakfast rooms but historic rooms have a special atmosphere. The breakfast was very good. The location is in the middle of nowhere but close to the motorway so it's a good stopover on the way to or from the channel, which is probably what most guests use it for.

I was upgraded from the Best Western to the neighbour Chateau Val de la Chartreuse. Both hotels are part of a group of very nice buildings with beautiful gardens. There is an atmosphere of noblesse, but keeping the guests feeling well. Excellent breakfast (despite there was no scrambled eggs, but enough other good things). I appreciated the small refrigerator in my room. I was there as guest of a wedding, we had lunch with excellent food and wines, it was just amazing

We've stayed here twice before. It's a convenient 1hr drive from Calais. Quiet, quirky rooms and plenty of parking. What is a little odd is the relationship with the hotel next door. This time, it's reception was also covering La Metarie. Not a problem unless it's raining , just a bit of a walk between the two establishments. Breakfast was served in the Hotel La Chatreuse. Dinner was served in its associated restaurant La Distillerie.

The rooms are amazing! We were in, what I think would be an annexe, but it was part of the old brewery and the room was quite something! We ate outdoors in the restaurant and had the most delicious steaks we've ever had. Even the chips were great! The dessert was a disappointment after such a lovely mains. We ordered profiteroles and the pastry was hard and quite stale.
